Craig Henderson has been crowned the Phase 1 winner after Gameweek 8 brought the first stage of the Fantasy Fitba season to a close.
Taking full advantage of the mid-Phase transfer window, Craig made some inspired choices which helped him to 368 points. A great Gameweek 8 saw him move four places up the table and nine points clear.
Well done Craig!
Let's see how his squad got him to the summit:
Craig Samson | St Mirren | 19 points
Phase 1 peaked in the very first Gameweek for Samson. A penalty save and Team of the Week bonus points had him score 9. But he, and the Buddies, have struggled since, keeping only one clean sheet.
James Tavernier | Rangers | 41 points
Last season the Gers skipper scored more points than any other player and he's started 2018/19 strongly. Three goals and two assists have helped.
Craig Halkett | Livingston | 40 points
Another captain has been one of three revelations in the Livi defence. Five clean sheets in eight has meant 40 points for Halkett and team mate Alan Lithgow, with Declan Gallagher just behind on 39.
Richard Tait | Motherwell | 17 points
Another very strong performer from 2017/18, Tait has struggled in a Well side that has registered only one clean sheet this season. A regular, he has picked up appearance points, at least.
Aaron McGowan | Hamilton | 8 points
Here's where Craig took advantage of the additional transfer window. He drafted out Hearts' Ben Garuccio and Hamilton's Dougie Imrie in midfield to take in the full back and, although McGowan didn't score particularly well, it allowed Craig to pick an effective Hearts player further up the park...
James Forrest (captain) | Celtic | 88 points
A mid-phase masterstroke. Craig initially had Odsonne Edouard in as his Celtic player and as his captain but made the switch to the winger. It paid off. While it was patchy scoring for Forrest throughout the Phase, four goals and 26 points in Gameweek 8 made the difference, taking Craig from fifth to the very top.
Steven Naismith | Hearts | 37 points
In making the Garuccio/McGowan switch mid-Phase, Craig freed up space for a different Hearts player and chose wisely in Steven Naismith. With three goals and 22 points in Gameweek 4 alone, Naismith was in fine form over the Phase, scoring points consistently.
Stevie Mallan | Hibs | 48 points
The Hibs midfielder sits in between Naismith (first) and Forrest (third) as the top scoring midfielder so far, overall. Deadly from set pieces and from distance, Mallan has been an excellent addition to the Easter Road side, contributing four goals and two assists.
Niall McGinn | Aberdeen | 23 points
With just one goal and one assist so far this season, Aberdeen might have expected more from their winger. Much like the Dons in general, he has yet to find his stride.
Tony Watt | St Johnstone | 16 points
Saints' Stefan Scougall dropped out of Craig's midfield in the mid-Phase transfer window to accommodate Forrest and Naismith and that McDiarmid Park place was picked up by the impressive Watt, who has notched up two goals, an assist, and a Ladbrokes Player of the Month award.
Kris Boyd | Kilmarnock | 7 points
Last season's top goalscorer in the Premiership, Boyd has found minutes hard to come by, let alone goals. He hasn't found the net while Eamonn Brophy and Greg Stewart have struck up a fine partnership.
