Time for Fantasy Football to Get Real

With English football losing Scottish fans it's time to take advantage.
The English Premier League is becoming detached from reality, let alone fans from across the border. A prevailing attitude among Scottish supporters is that - without fantasy football and the weekend accumulator - English football is becoming no more than an excuse to hit the pub.
Match of the Day is going unwatched and chatter of the quality of player joining the world's richest league is becoming increasingly marginalised by despair at the fee and contract terms he's been given.
Up here, domestic competition is relatively well. Typical off-field unrest and European disappointment aside, the Premiership has 12 squads that are capturing the imagination with players fans can relate to and transfer sums that don't make you a little embarrassed to be a human being.
Hibs' return brings with it fixtures with commercial appeal and increased competition that will pique further interest in a league that has welcomed quality throughout the summer and fans in numbers.
The level with which clubs are repaying the faith is becoming more and more significant, too. Fan engagement has never been higher on the agenda with clubs investing time, money and people to bring their fans closer to the club.
Yet one well-established fan engagement tool - capable of connecting supporters with the league (dare it be said, the brand) - is a notable absentee.
Fantasy football remains huge. Over 4,000,000 have entered the official Fantasy Premier League game, including 55,000 Scottish players.

Should over 55,000 be prepared to familiarise themselves with players and teams in a league that they're looking away from, then how many would be up for doing the same with their own?
It's remiss of the league body and sponsors to overlook the creation of a game to boost engagement and the profile of the Premiership.
That's where we are looking to step in, by eventually creating a game as polished as any you'll find serving the English Premier League. To do that, we'll need support.
